1956 Swarbrick Jetty built. Terry Swarbrick sailed first yacht in Swan Bay (Walpole Inlet).
He, Claude and Frank Cooper et al built a small boat shed near site for Swarbricks Jetty.
1958 Walpole Yacht Club: Inaugural meeting 13th February.
First public meeting 27th February.
Meeting 17 April: proposed site changed from Swan Bay to Coalmine Beach.
late 1958: Lean-to boatshed built and jetty construction started there.
1959 Walpole Yacht Club Lease and permit to build boatshed/clubhouse granted....Jetty completed...timber came from old Kent River Sawmill.
1961 Walpole Yacht Club given a 21 year lease @ £5 per year...Foreshore reclamation (sleepers from Nornalup Railway).
1999 WYC becomes Walpole Yachting and Boating Club (WYBC).
